Silver for Almette, bronze for Hochland Streichfein
Voted “Product of the Year” by the trade journal Milch-Marketing

15.03.2008
Once again a number of products from the Hochland portfolio have made it onto the winner’s  pedestal in the vote for “Product of the Year 2007/2008”.

The “Almette Saison Alpenkräuter” introduced in spring 2007 won a silver medal. With only 5% fat and containing aromatic Alpine herbs, Almette Alpenkräuter was an especially light delicacy. It has now been replaced by other Almette products to adapt to each season. Those who like Alpine cream cheese will enjoy discovering the new spring variety “Almette Weißer Spargel”. The combination of creamy, fresh Alpine cream cheese with crunchy asparagus pieces, rounded off with fine parsley puts the taste of spring and summer on the table just in time for the start of the asparagus season.

A bronze medal went to the packaging relaunch of "Hochland Streichfein". Since December 2007, this light, creamy spread cheese has been available in the varieties Gouda, Emmental and Maasdam in a new, practical tub. The new packaging not only enhances the visual appearance with more luminous colours and an optimised cup shape: the new curved cup is also easy to hold and makes "Hochland Streichfein" easier to remove completely.

Every year, the readers of the trade journal Milch-Marketing are called upon to vote for the "Product of the Year", choosing their personal favourites among all new dairy products from each individual segment. Around 300 products, categorised into 17 product groups, took part in the vote.
