Heimenkirch in Allgäu

Heimenkirch in Allgäu, about 20 kilometres from Lake Constance, is the headquarters of Hochland AG, Hochland Germany GmbH and Hochland Natec GmbH.

In 1931 the parent works of the group were founded in Heimenkirch. At these works approximately 700 employees now manufacture processed cheese, hard and semi-hard cheeses.

Natec was founded in 1974 and since then has been operating on a global scale as a member of the Hochland Group. Hochland Natec GmbH specialised in the engineering, construction and worldwide sales of special machines for the manufacture, processing and packaging of processed cheese.

Schongau

Schongau is situated in the Alpine foreland of Upper Bavaria, very near the famous royal castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. The Hochland Deutschland GmbH Schongau is one of the major production works for cream cheese and white cheese in Europe.  

The newly constructed plant was put into operation in 1997. A staff of 500 produce cream cheese and white cheese there.

Kempten

At the beginning of 2009, the Grünland processed cheese plant in Kempten/Allgäu was taken over from the Bechtel Group. A staff of about 80 produce processed cheese there.
