Hochland helps local institutions with concrete projects by donating food and other items, mainly at site of the company headquarters in Heimenkirch. The main focus here is on projects aimed at children and youngsters, but other social and cultural projects are also featured.

McDonald's Children’s Aid Foundation

Hochland has also supported the Ronald McDonald Houses in Germany for many years with cheese donations. Furthermore, the company has sponsored an apartment in the Ronald McDonald House in Munich-Großhadern since 2005. The Ronald McDonald Houses temporarily accommodate the parents and siblings of critically ill children while the young patients are treated at a nearby hospital. The proximity and security of the family helps the child convalesce more quickly. McDonald’s Children’s Aid now runs 15 such houses in Germany.
