The mechanical engineering company Natec was founded in 1974. Since the world market did not provide the special machines required by Hochland, the company set about building the machines itself – securing technological leadership for itself at the same time.

This eventually developed into a separate company specialising in the engineering, construction and worldwide marketing of special machines for the manufacture, processing and packaging of processed cheese. Hochland Natec GmbH has a staff of about 50.
