Cheese manufacturer among Top Ten in the category "500 to 2000 members of staff"

Hochland Deutschland GmbH is among "Germany's best employers 2010". For the second time, Hochland attended the competition run by "Great Place to Work Institute Germany" and have landed on the list of "100 best companies to work for".  The cheese manufacturer came 9th among the companies employing between 500 and 2000 members of staff.

At a gala dinner in Berlin, Federal Minister of Labour Ursula von der Leyen and Director of Great Place to Work Institute Germany Frank Hauser, recognized 100 companies of different sectors for their quality and attractiveness as employers. "All awarded companies are model companies in terms of corporate culture and employee-oriented structures", said Ms von der Leyen.

The awards are based on an employee attitude survey and on a corporate culture audit organized by the Great Place to Work Institute Germany in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, the business journals "Handelsblatt" and "personalmagazin" and Cologne University. Any company in germany with over 50 epmloyees can enter.
